JULIA'S STORY...

Julia B. was conceived and launched in 2002 in Greenwich, Connecticut by Julia Berger.  Before launching her linens business, Julia worked for both Donna Karan and Calvin Klein, developing their international markets.  Raised in Tokyo and San Francisco by a Japanese mother and an American father, Julia has travelled extensively throughout her life:  both in Asia and the Americas as well as Europe; living and studying in Florence, Italy and working in New York City, Tokyo and Hong Kong.  It is ony natural then, that Julia B. designs are shaped by her life experiences - combining Asian simplicity and Western traditions with inventiveness and style.  In this world of mass, machine-made products, Julia's wish is to re-introduce the joy of "The Hand Made" into our homes and daily lives with the Jula B. Couture Linens collection.  Julia lives in North Stamford, CT. with her husband and miniature poodle.  She is the mother of 2 children, ages 17 and 23.

OUR INSPIRATION...

Vintage linens and classic monograms are our inspirations.  Delicate hemstitching, raised-stitched monogram and white-on-white embroidery are all techniques that were routinely used for fine bedding, table and bath linens for centuries.  Today, Julia B. has replicated the fine handwork of traditional linens with one-of-a-kind custom products of superb craftsmanship - all made individually by hand by highly skilled embroiderers.

OUR CRAFTSMANSHIP...

We have selected only the finest materials from multi-generational, family-owned businesses from around the world.  Our cotton percale and cotton piquet fabrics are sourced from purveyors of the highest quality fabric in Italy; our linen fabrics are woven in Eastern Europe and Belgium; our cashmere is milled in Italy, and our embroidery and applique are done by hand in Vietnam and Madagascar, where the French legacy of craftsmanship has been passed down for generations to produce the finest quality hand work in the world.

OUR DESIGN...

The Julia B. Couture Linens collection is inspired by traditional embroidery techniques.  Our linens can fit the style of any home from traditional to modern: colors are classic, young, fresh and vibrant and our monogram styles range from art deco to gothic.  Combining your own choices of color, fabric, texture and personalization with our hand embroidery techniques, we will create a truly unique and beautiful linen product for you.

HOW IT WORKS...

Ordering custom linens starts with color and style.  Choose from our selection of border styles, luxury fabrics, embroidery thread colors and then add an exquisite monogram to create something truly "couture".  Once your order is received, we will begin designing your custom monogram and a proof will be emailed to you within one to three business days.  Depending upon the complexity of the order, delivery is usually made in six to eight weeks.

Julia B. Couture Linens prides itself on creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind, handmade linens to be enjoyed for years to come.  We look forward to working with you!
